Quicktime

It's been brought to my attention that some of you who grabbed the disc from the show on Sunday have been unable to watch the included video - this is unfortunate, but there is an incredibly easy solution that I'm frankly surprised didn't ship with your computer no matter how old it may be - download the free Quicktime codec/player.

Free download PC + Mac

It's probably the most ubiquitous video player on the internet and if you have iTunes installed on your system you -should- already have it, but either way, it's a totally free download, no funny stuff, no irritation. Then you can watch all the pr0n you've been missing all this time.

In the future I'll make sure you get both a .mov and an .avi file on the discs, or at the very least throw in the quicktime installer... but seriously, it's free and your computer is hungry for it right now, I can hear its stomach burbling. Grab it up.

Also, for those of you that may have thought there was a dearth of songs on the CD - in the player to the right side of this post you can both listen to and download the complete track list of our initial EP, The Higgs Boson (educate yourself), so have a field day there - as for the show discs, the idea is that each show you come to, we have a specific disc made for that specific show with songs on it that aren't on the open web or other show discs - as well as other tidbits like the wallpaper and junk. So download up all the pristine recordings (or just stream them from reverbnation, that's cool too) to the right, come to as many shows as you can stomach. In the interim we'll be trying to have something interesting going on here every few days, so come back when you can or subscribe to the RSS feed:

Thanks...

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at Milly's Sunday night, and to the other bands for providing so many new ears to infiltrate. To all you slackers home with alcohol poisoning or pining over baseball games, way to go. Your liver is mush and the red sox lost AND you didn't show up to support your local music scene. I hope you're proud. I hope you're really really proud. Well you know what? You missed out. That's what YOU did. Nice.

On the same note, those of you who grabbed a CD before they disappeared, pop it in your computer and put it's goodies to use: desktops, IM icons, a video and some sweet fully tagged MP3s. Congratulations. Next time we'll be making split discs with both regular audio AND data goodies, don't miss out. And as for the funny bar code on the back of the disc, head over to neoreader.com and savvy yourself up, it's kind of snazzy like a real-world hyperlink you use your phone to click on. We'll be improving that functionality in the future as well.

Also, until i can get a FAQ put together, the two buttons with guys on them - one is Montgomery Clift, the other is David Koresh... there will be more in the coming weeks. Think of the band's name... and then think of the guys. Clift was supposed to be the next big thing in Hollywood ages ago and spiraled into his own grave; koresh was supposed to be a prophet/messiah and ended up immolated. Huzzah!

Milly's Tavern

We'll be playing Milly's Tavern in Manchester this Sunday the 19th, so don't forget, and be there with bells on. Or leave the bells at home and bring money for drinks, that's probably a better idea.

As an incentive to come out, we've made a few 'limited edition' CDs with a few new tracks, some new artwork, a hilarious video and various other awesome sorcery as well. There will only be 20 of them at the show, all free, so get there early and snatch one up.

As a teaser freebie, try this desktop on for size:
(link goes to an archive of sizes, unzip and enjoy)

Yeah, its pretty badass, I know.
See you on Sunday.
