It's Educational...

For a little more insight into the title of our late EP, there is an excellent, if not saddening article at damninteresting.com (click the title above for the entire thing) that should shed some light:

One of the most persistent mysteries of the Universe is why matter has mass at all. Physicists think they know the answer; a particle called the Higgs Boson, also called the "God Particle", is thought to exist that gives all other particles mass. Around this theoretical particle they constructed the glittering edifice of late-20th century physics known rather plainly as the Standard Model.

Despite its tremendous importance, the Higgs has never been observed in experiments. According to calculations, it exists in detectable form only at astoundingly high temperatures and pressures - similar to those of the first few seconds after the Big Bang. Particle accelerators smash sub-atomic scraps together to regularly recreate such conditions, but none exists powerful enough to actually see the Higgs.

Again, you can read the rest of the article here

Also, for future referrence if you haven't procurred the entire new Tool album... with a few excepetions its absolutely mind-blowing. It's largely unlike anything I have ever heard, completely amazing.

If we hadn't invaded Iraq...

What the $250 Billion we've spent on Iraq could've bought us if we just said..."meh"
funny, yeah... bad sad...

Craigasorusrex

We have found the cure to the Bass quandary--Craig Untiet.

It’s been tough trying to find the right man/woman/transgender for the job. We’ve received thousands and thousands of applications, but no one seemed right, until we came across the résumé of one Craig Untiet. We found Craig through Monster.com, and after a series of intense reviews (night of drunken’ jamming) we decided that he was the right man for the job.

You may have seen Craig in such bands as Chunk light tuna, Fiber Optic Andy and Boys II Men. Through further inspection we’ve found that Adam (guitar player/bad mood king) and Craig are actually cousins…or something weird.

Craig is a creative and talented person and will definitely add his own unique element to the band’s live show and sound. Craig’s on stage persona--reminiscent of a zebra tailed lizard with a red bull addiction is sure to add some vigor to the MFTG performance.

We’ve started rehearsals in the hope that the shows will soon follow; in fact I believe that we have some type of show lined up for the late spring.

As for Travis, well you’ll be seeing him in his rockin’ new band .psd at a Kraft box near you soon.
